Who we are

Ministry Match is a product of Bellwether Online Solutions LLC, Lebanon, Ohio, USA. You can contact us at support@ministrymatchapp.com.

What we collect

  • For people taking an assessment: name, email address, their answers and resulting scores, and the time taken.
  • For church staff: name, email address, role, and sign-in records.
  • For churches: the church name, time zone, and Planning Center connection credentials, which are stored encrypted.

Where the data comes from

It is entered by the person or by their church, or pulled from the church's Planning Center account at the church's request.

What we do with it

  • Show results to the person and to their church's staff.
  • Write results into the church's Planning Center People profiles, in tabs named “MM - …”, only after the church turns publishing on.
  • Send results emails.

We never sell your data, never use it for advertising, and never share it with anyone except the service providers listed below.

Planning Center

We read People and the fields we created. We write only to tabs and fields we created, and we never change other tabs. The church can pause publishing or turn it off at any time.

Service providers

  • Vercel, for hosting
  • Neon, for the database
  • Resend, for email

All of them are in the United States.

Retention

We keep data while the church's account is active. A church can remove a person or a result from inside the app, which also removes the matching Planning Center fields we wrote. When a church closes its account, its data is removed after export.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Planning Center credentials are encrypted with a key held only by the application. Staff access is limited by role.

Your choices

You can ask your church to correct or remove your information. If your church cannot help, email us at support@ministrymatchapp.com.

Children

The assessment is intended for adults and older teens under their church's supervision. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 without the church's involvement.

Changes

We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
